January 2018. Coochin Creek Fruit Growers Co-operative were proud to hand over a cheque for $605 to the local SES crew. The Co-operative had raised the funds during the local Beerwah Street Festival whilst running a stand where children (and some big kids too!) could pot up a seedling and decorate the pots to take home.
Co-operative General Manager, Steve Williams said that the Co-op has been an essential and central part of the community fabric for 82 years and its important that we continue to be active community minded members even as the area changes with growth and development.
Andrew Kraut accepted the cheque on behalf of the SES crew and said the funds would be put to good use too help replace and maintain essential equipment that they use in their daily operations.
